Effective immediately, the Louisiana Department of Health is directing and requiring all nursing homes in Louisiana to prohibit all non-health care related visitors for 30 days between the dates of March 12, 2020 and April 10, 2020 unless otherwise extended by written notice from the Department of Health. We are asking the general public and family members to refrain from visiting Amelia Manor. LDH and LNHA are keeping us updated with the Coronavirus outbreak. This new strain of the Coronavirus is causing major problems in elders with underlying health issues. Our main concern is the safety of our residents. We know that this will create some uneasiness and worry. Please feel free to call our facility at 337-234-7331 to arrange an alternative way of communicating with your loved one such as phone calls, Skype or Facetime. Regular updates will be posted on the Amelia Manor Nursing Home Facebook page and website AmeliaManor.com. Thank you for your help and understanding during this process.
Amelia Manor Nursing Home is family owned and operated since 1974. We are one of the only nursing homes in Lafayette with consistent management and ownership since construction.
Why Choose Amelia Manor Nursing Home?
- Important decisions are made locally and are not submitted to a corporation not involved with the residents or staff on a daily basis.
- In our 40-year history, only two people have served as administrators. A low turnover of administrative staff is important to the overall success of our facility and reputation in the community.
- A high priority is placed on meeting the resident’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Family involvement is welcome and encouraged.
- Active in the Louisiana Nursing Home Association on both the state and regional level.
